Poynter Online are reporting that MS will next year start shipping six new fonts designed for clearer on-screen reading. Two serif, three sans serif and one monotyped (just think - the prospect of using something other than Courier New in Visual Studio!). Confusingly, the new fonts have similar names - Calibri, Cambria, Candara, Consolas, Constantia and Corbel. I hope roll-out of these fonts is swift, it will be nice to have some alternatives to using Verdana and Arial on websites.
