Good Day Sunshine

Good Day Sunshine
Sunrise in West Yorkshire

The view from a train window, travelling between Leeds and Halifax on Friday morning.
Even the industrial wastelands of West Yorkshire can look vaguely attractive at first light.

I don't usually commute to Halifax by train, but made an exception as we were off out for some drinks after work.  I was quite conscious of being the nerdiest person in the packed train carriage - everybody else sat glumly in silence, whereas I was enjoying the novelty of not driving, and hence being able to play with my toys.  I read Metro and MSDN Magazine, played solitaire on my smartphone, took photos, and listened to music and Dot Net Rocks.  I actually felt quite bouncy and full of beans when I arrived at work... although I was an hour later than usual, so maybe the extra 60 minutes kip had something to do with it!
