Ten personal highlights from 2004:

  • Getting engaged to my Californian sweetheart Jocelyn.  Not a bad effort for a Yorkshire computer nerd :-)
  • Gaining my MCAD.
  • Vacation to California and New York in the spring.
  • Our investment club, FLIC, gaining 18.9% and trouncing the FTSE 100 index in the process.
  • Being heavily involved in the development and implementation of a highly successful and occasionally enjoyable IT project.
  • Staying in the same job all year!
  • The Glen Shiel weekend in September.
  • York Races in June - mmm, Champagne....
  • Buying The Decline of British Sea Power, a wonderful album from 2003 which has been a constant companion during the past year.
  • Bagging the Drumochter four in January with Lexy, in freezing cold and poor visibility.  That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and it certainly made the beer taste better that evening.
